Ways You Can Help
There are several ways you can help:
- Volunteer to participate in one of our
studies: we have several ongoing research projects that focus on schizophrenia
and related disorders. If you would like more information on our studies,
or want to know if you would qualify for a study, contact us at (319) 356-4720,
or send us an email message by clicking here.
- Volunter at
your local Alliance for the Mentally Ill. To find the chapter closest
to you, contact the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) at 800-950-NAMI
(6264) / TDD 703-516-7227. For more information about NAMI, check out their
web site http://www.nami.org/.
- Contributions. The University of Iowa Mental Health Clinical Research Center is a
nonprofit organization. All of our research is funded by government grants
and private donations. Contributions are always welcome and appreciated.
If you are interested in contributing to our center, and would like more
information you can contact us at 319-356-1553. If you would like to contribute
directly, you can send your contribution to the address below. Checks should
be made out to "Department of Psychiatry."
